The 19th CleanTech Conference and Trade Show was announced as a great success03.03.2015 During the conference and during subsequent days, 154 M ILS transactions were closed Over 10,000 highest ranking decision makers visited the International CleanTech conference and trade show, including delegations from Asia, Europe, Africa and America.
During both days of the 19th CleanTech trade show closed last week at the Airport City Fair Grounds, transactions valued approx. 154 million ILS were closed, mainly in the solar energy and recycling sectors. According to Haim Alush, founder and CEO of the conference and trade show, this signifies to the fact that the cleantech industries are a major growth engine for the entire world.
According to Alush, in the CleanTech Trade Show participated approximately 60 Israeli and foreign companies, presenting between them hundreds of technologies, products and solutions focused in environmental quality, starting from renewable energies, energetic efficiency, environmentally friendly power production, treatment of waste and sewage, use of grey water, recycling of all types of waste materials, etc. According to him, “this year we witnessed again the unique character of the CleanTech trade show, presenting the best environmental technologies from Israel and the world, and exposing them to both Israel and foreign clients. This is one of the most fascinating characteristics of the CleanTech industry the bi-directional flow of technology and markets between Israel and the world”.
As aforementioned, the presence of foreign businessmen was apparent in both among the global buyers attending the trade show in order to detect new and advanced technologies, but also in the conference and the global trade show, in which the largest solar panels manufacturers presented their solutions, including: Trina Solar, Hanwha SolarOne, Jinko Solar, and others. According to Tod Lee, sales manager of the Asian and Middle East Markets of Trina Solar, “we arrive to Israel targeting the CleanTech trade show, and are exposed to interesting audience. In light of what we’ve seen at the CleanTech tradeshow, we expect to succeed in conducting a lot of business here”.
Further during the conference, the “CleanTech Insignias” were awarded, given each year to products, organizations, entrepreneurs and researchers, whose activity significantly contributed to promotion of environmental quality and development of break-through technologies for environmental protection. This year a special emphasis was made in selection of candidates on innovation. Among the winners: The MOOVIT application, supported by investments by BMW and Nokia.
The Minister of National Infrastructures, Energy and Water, Silvan Shalom, stated in his greeting to the trade show, that “The Office heads the activity towards reaching energetic independence for the State of Israel. The Israeli Government defined a goal for implementing renewable energies in the Israeli power production layout. The Office had been vigorously promoting during the recent two years also the energetic efficiency field in the Israeli market. The Office constantly acts to expand the required budgets for projects focused on energetic efficiency and development of new tools and mechanisms for streamlining, based on the recognition that efficiency holds the key to the future and economic viability”.
